Job Introduction
Location – Crabbers Wharf - Castletown, Portland, Dorset
Job Title – Property & Holiday Let Manager
Salary – Up to £35,000 per annum
Are you a confident, organised property professional ready to take your career to new heights?
We’re looking for a dynamic and proactive Property & Holiday Let Manager to take the helm of two thriving and well-established operations on the stunning Isle of Portland.
This is a rare opportunity to manage Nemesis Properties — a diverse portfolio of around 40 privately owned rental homes — alongside Crabbers Wharf, an exclusive collection of nine luxury waterfront cabins. You’ll combine hands-on property management with inspiring team leadership and strategic oversight to ensure both businesses excel, all while delivering clear, insightful reports to the family ownership group.
About the role
Picture yourself working where breathtaking sea views are your everyday backdrop — welcome to Crabbers Wharf. Here, you’ll lead the guest experience, managing bookings, coordinating the cleaning and maintenance teams, and ensuring every visitor receives a warm welcome and an impeccable stay. Your dedication to detail and quality will turn first-time guests into lifelong fans.
Simultaneously, you’ll oversee Nemesis Properties, expertly handling everything from advertising vacancies and managing tenancy agreements to scheduling maintenance and ensuring compliance. Your sharp organisational skills and professional approach will keep this diverse portfolio running flawlessly.
This hands-on leadership role puts you at the heart of the action — as the trusted contact for guests, tenants, contractors, and the ownership group. You’ll also partner closely with accountants to track budgets, cashflow, and performance, using your insights to drive ongoing success. If you’re ready to own this role and make a real, visible impact across two respected property businesses, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced in property management, lettings, or hospitality, with solid knowledge of tenancy legislation and best practices
- A confident, organised leader with a hands-on approach and experience managing small teams (cleaning, maintenance, etc.)
- Tech-savvy and proficient with property portals (Rightmove, OnTheMarket), booking platforms (Booking.com), and digital systems
- Financially astute, comfortable managing budgets, reports, and working closely with accountants
- A professional and approachable communicator, skilled at building strong relationships with guests, tenants, and contractors
- Flexible, reliable, and responsive—ready to provide on-call support and adapt to changing needs
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle
What We Offer
- A full-time, Monday to Friday role (40 hours/week) with on-call support
- Exclusive Blue Light Card discount package
- Company pension scheme for your future security
- Complimentary access to the historic Castletown D-Day Centre
- Great discounts at local restaurants and garages
- A key role within a friendly, close-knit team set against one of the UK’s most stunning coastal backdrops
