Job Introduction
Agincare is looking for a talented and fully qualified Senior Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and wants to make a meaningful impact across a growing organisation.
Working between our Poole and Portland offices, you’ll provide high‑quality financial analysis, support strategic decision‑making, and oversee the delivery of management accounting activities. You’ll work closely with the Senior Accountant and lead the work of our Management Accountants, helping to drive accuracy, insight, and continuous improvement across the function.
What you’ll be doing
Managing the month‑end process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
Producing detailed variance analysis and clear explanations for performance movements
Preparing monthly financial performance reports, KPIs, and ad‑hoc analysis for senior stakeholders
Supporting and mentoring junior accounting staff, helping to develop capability and best practice
Collaborating with department heads on budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategic goals
Monitoring business costs and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance
Ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processes
Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Supporting continuous improvement across systems, processes, and reporting
What we’re looking for
Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA
2–3 years’ experience in management accounting
Experience in a senior or supervisory role
Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency with financial systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
Confident communicator able to present financial information to non‑financial colleagues
Highly organised, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
A collaborative, professional approach and commitment to high standards
