What You’ll Be Doing

Sourcing & Selection

  • Identify and assess new and existing suppliers through market research and networking.
  • Conduct comprehensive vetting of suppliers prior to engagement.
  • Evaluate proposals based on price, quality, delivery performance, and risk.

Contract & Supplier Management

  • Support supplier negotiations to ensure commercially favourable agreements.
  • Maintain productive relationships with key vendors and monitor ongoing performance.
  • Support contract management and compliance monitoring.

Cost Analysis & Savings

  • Analyse spend data to uncover efficiencies and drive cost-saving strategies.
  • Implement and track savings initiatives such as bulk procurement and supplier consolidation.

Compliance & Risk

  • Uphold procurement policy and ensure all activities are audit-ready.
  • Perform supplier risk assessments and support mitigative actions.

 About you

Whilst direct procurement experience is a plus, it’s not essential — what matters most is a strong commercial mindset, even if gained in another function. Bonus points if you’ve worked in procurement, but what truly counts is your ability to bring:

  • Commercial Acumen: You understand the bottom line and how strategic procurement supports it.
  • Communication Skills: You’re articulate, persuasive, and confident in both verbal and written forms.
  • Attention to Detail: You spot inconsistencies and errors others miss.
  • Organised & Methodical: You can juggle multiple procurement tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • IT Confidence: Especially proficient in Excel, with the ability to manipulate data and produce insightful reports.
