Job Title: Registered Care Home Manager

Area: Weymouth / Region: Weymouth/ Portland

Basic Salary: Up to £40,000

Bonus: Long service bonus available                                      


Job Description

We are looking to appoint a Registered Care Home Manager to join our care home (elderly, residential specialising in Dementia and mental health for adults) in Weymouth. This role represents an ideal and rare opportunity for a registered manager to step into a new position at our 40 bedded Care Home.

Crecy Care Home has a highly regarded reputation in the community; and has an overall rating of GOOD from the CQC with an Outstanding under Caring. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Registered Care Home Manager to join us and continue with the excellent work carried out by the departing manager.

Ideally the successful candidate will be either a Registered Mental Health Nurse or have a strong Mental Health background, with proven experience of working within a Mental Health environment and in leading a team. Crecy is unique in the sense that it provides a service to not only elderly residential with Dementia, but also adults with mental health needs.

Full support will be provided by the existing Management Team both within Crecy Care Home and the Operations Team.

Experience in care planning, assessments and client care is essential along with management skills.

 

 

Job Requirements

Ideally the successful candidate will be either a Registered Mental Health Nurse or have a strong Mental Health background, with proven experience of working within a Mental Health environment and in leading a team.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Overall management of the premises
  • Maintaining the well-being and ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care
  • Maintaining and building links with social services, DNs, GPs, CPN’s etc.
  • Implementing new and existing home policies
  • Management of staff and ensuring that all staff are trained to the correct standards
  • Budgetary control
  • Leading staff and resident meetings
  • Share on-call duties with the Deputy Manager
