Health and Social Care Trainer/Assessor

   Hours                : 32 per week

  Location             : Various Locations across the South East of England.

  Salary                 : £20-25,000 pro rata

Currently we have a vacancy for the exciting role of trainer.  The overall aim of this role is to support our team to create a capable, confident and skilled workforce delivering a continuous training and development programme to maintain and enhance the quality of care of people who use our services.

The Regional Trainer is responsible for delivering Health and Social Care Training in accordance with the sector skills councils (Essential Standards for Quality and Safety, Skills for Care, CQC and relevant associated legislation) and in accordance with Agincare's Training and Development policy.  Assessing duties will also be part of the role, this will be to assess learners on the apprenticeship/diploma programme.

You will work at various Agincare training suites and also be expected to travel and attend meetings or training courses as applicable.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will be organised, structured, manage their workload effectively and able to work on their own initiative. The right person will have previous experience within the care industry with a sound knowledge of care industry standards and legislation.  Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required and the ability to demonstrate empathy when communicating with care workers, adapting your communication style depending on the circumstances.  

Qualifications in relevant training skills e.g. Safeguarding, Moving and Handling, First aid, Equality and Diversity, PTTLLS  HSC QCF qualifications Infection Control, Medication management Food and Hygiene, Health and Safety, Health and Social Care levels 1,2,3, Dementia; and an up to date certificate in train the trainer moving and handling training would be desirable. An assessor qualification would be also desirable.

Willingness to travel and work/stay away overnight essential, and a Full clean Driving Licence are desirable but not essential.
