We have an exciting opportunity at Rochester Care Home working full-time (42 hours) as a Deputy ManagerRochester Care Home is situated in the beautiful historic town of Rochester within the county of Kent.

You can earn up to £25,000 DOE as a Deputy Care Home Manager in Rochester Care Home.

Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Care Home Manager:

  • The Deputy Care Home Manager will support the Registered Care Home Manager in the day to day activities of running the home.
  • Work closely with the Registered Care Home Manager to ensure Rochester Care home is recognised for being a great place to live and work.
  • Assume full responsibility for the day to day running of the Home in the absence of the Registered Care Home Manager.
  • Manage a team including, Care Workers and ancillary staff, ensuring best practice is carried out.
  • Review the care needs of residents by their changing needs and by contractual requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure that the general standards of hygiene and cleanliness in relation to the premises and equipment are maintained.

Job Requirements

 You must have:

  • NVQ 3 or above in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Previous management/supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety rules, relating to Care Homes.
  • A caring nature and desire to make a difference in someone’s life
  • Demonstrate up to date knowledge of the Care Sector, the running of a Care Home and the regulatory framework.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable client groups
  • The right to work in the UK
  • A good level of English – both written and oral
  • Approachable and supportive to individuals
  • Computer skills necessary
  • Able to complete Dols applications and raise safeguarding
  • Care Plan Audits monthly
  • Administration of medication
