We have an exciting management opportunity in a growing service for an experienced individual, working with adults with complex needs.

As Senior Service Manager you will manage the day to day activities of the Napier Day & Respite Service whilst offering support to other Agincare Enable Services.

Napier Respite and Day Service is a specialist service for younger adults with learning difficulties and complex physical needs in Medway. People come to Napier to meet their friends, develop skills and lead fulfilled lives. In addition to our Day Service, Napier Respite provides respite accommodation for young adults with learning difficulties seven days a week, 365 days a year.

This position is for someone with previous experience of delivering services that improve the lives of people who may have a learning disability, an Autistic Spectrum Condition, mental health issues or physical disability which presents in a complex way and may challenges support.

Job Requirements

What an Excellent Senior Service Manager Looks Like

You must have:

  • A commitment to delivering high quality outcome focused support.
  • An ability to manage relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable up to date knowledge of the care sector.
  • Previous experience of managing a diverse team.
  • Previous experience in recruiting staff, maintaining staffing levels and all aspects of staff management.
  • An understanding of business processes.
  • Knowledge of the Care Act 2014.
  • Understanding of Mental Health legislation and of Mental Capacity processes.
  • Understanding of Wellbeing in the context of Complex needs.
  • Experience of and understanding of principles of PBS Positive Behavioural Support.
  • Significant experience of delivering care & support to individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities and additional health needs i.e. epilepsy, P.E.G. etc.
